My life spins out of control, momentum carries me, at dizzying speeds, to the place of inevitable decision. Nausea threatens to overcome as the dervish in my gut whirls in rhythm to the frenzy of my heartbeat. Disorientation and imbalance rule the day as my world skews its rotation around the sun. I reach for the golden ring, to end the ride but my grasp falls short; the sensation of falling overtakes me. My inner voice whispers, reminds me that strength is my long suit, my inheritance. Ride it out, the voice says, spinning threads of salvation into a parachute of hope. Hitchcock is dead, after all.
