F-101B Voodoo
The "Voodoo" was an U.S. Air Force century series two-seater aircraft flown by active Interceptor Squadrons, the Air Defense Command and the Air National Guard from 1959 - 1983. The tail of this F-101B displays the emblem of USAF 136th Fighter-Interceptor Squadron, NY Air National Guard. The Voodoo is well known for its NATO roll as a nuclear deterrent during the cold war. Although its career as a fighter-bomber was relatively brief, the reconnaissance versions served for some time. This photograph was taken at the Vietnam Memorial of Rogers Municipal Airport in Rogers, Arkansas and digitally manipulated.
