Texas Tea
"Black gold...Texas tea..." Anyone remember the Beverly Hillbillies? These were terms used to describe oil. Here in Texas you can find oil derricks practically anywhere. This one was erected not far from our property in rural Panola County, Texas. Too bad we don't have any oil wells on our property. I might have to "up and move" to Beverly Hills, like the Clampetts! Betty, I this composition is really great. I like that your emphasis is on the barbwire fence, and the framing of the view with the tree branches, the monochrome emphasizing your title and the subject. Really well done.

This invites a degree of curiosity into the functional landscape, which is ripe for a lot of investigation as an artist. You have certainly found it in this photo.
