Thanks, Debbie! The poem stirs such fond memories for me. I often played in a hayloft as a child and remember the sweet aroma of fresh hay and the dim, dusty air. It is a shame such simple innocence of play is disappearing along with these marvelous old structures.

I agree! I grew up playing in old barns and exploring the countryside as well. I think that is why I have always loved nature so much.
